Do you know all the secrets hidden in God's Word, the Bible?
Do you have a thirst to know more?

MALACHI 4:5
5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Does the Bible promise that God will send "Elijah the Prophet" before the dreadful day of the Lord?
Yes! God has promised to send an "Elijah" prophet before the "dreadful dayof the Lord".

What will Elijah accomplish?
"...he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers."

1. He Shall Turn the Hearts of the Fathers to the Children...

LUKE 1:13
13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.
14 And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.
15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.
16 And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God.
17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

John the Baptist, according to the scriptures, would go in the spirit and power of Elias (Elijah), and he was commissioned to "turn the hearts of the fathers to the children" and to make a people "prepared for the Lord". We see in the scriptures (Isaiah 40:3, Matthew 3:1, Mark 1:2, John 1:23, Malachi 3:1) that John was the fulfillment of the word, as he was "...The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight".

However, in Malachi 4:6, the scriptures said that Elijah would turn the hearts of the children to the fathers, AND he would ALSO turn the hearts of the fathers to the children. John only fulfilled HALF of this prophesy.

2. He Shall Turn the Hearts of the Fathers to the Children....

MATTHEW 17:10

10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?
11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.
12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.
13 Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

When Jesus questioned the disciples, they recognized that JesusChrist WAS the coming of the Lord. However, this confused them, because they knew that the Bible said that "Elias must first come" according to scriptures in Malachi 4. They wondered, if Elias was to come BEFORE the coming of the Lord....where was he?? And why didn't they see him??

Jesus responded by pointing forward and telling them that they were exactly right, Elias WILL (future) first come, to restore all things. However, at the same time, Elias ALREADY CAME (past)...and they missed him.

The disciples quickly understood that John the Baptist WAS the Elijah who CAME (past). But this reveals a question.....WHO is the Elijah who WILL come and RESTORE all things???? (Notice, John the Baptist was not commissioned to "restore", but instead was sent to "prepare".) This exposes a split prophesy hidden in Malachi 4:6, and forces us to realize that there is an Elijah who must come before the "dreadful day of the Lord". This Elijah will have a specific ministry.

All men, even the 'religious' and followers of Christ missed the first Elijah, who foreran the first coming of Jesus Christ. We ask....if they missed him the first time, how will men know the next Elijah who will forerun the second coming of Christ? How will they recognize the man sent with a message of restoration & to turn the hearts of the children back to fathers?

The truth is just as Jesus says in Matthew 17:10, "Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them." Just as the religious sects missed Elijah in John the Baptist, they missed Jesus Christ. And so shall the Elijah who will "restore" suffer the same. They will miss him. Will you?

The Bible contains many hidden truths that are waiting to be revealed.
We invite you....come and see!
